i am using multiple Datatables in single page but not working responsive

i am using multiple datatables but not working responsive
below script i used but its not working

$("a[data-toggle=\"tab\"]").on("shown.bs.tab", function (e) {
  console.log( 'show tab' );

    $.fn.dataTable.tables( {visible: true, api: true} ).columns.adjust();
  
});

If you are using the Responsive extension you may also need to use responsive.recalc().
