whow to print a page with DataTables in it keeping the page format ?

I have a DataTables that uses half of the page width. But when I try to print to page, the DataTable expands to the whole width of the page. I tried to make responsive=false, but didn't work. What may I be missing?

Are you saying you want half the page width printed or that you won't want to print the hidden columns. This example shows how to print just the visible columns.

I want the WHOLE page printed, not just the table. I'm printing with the print option of the browser. Problem is that the table is expanding to the width of the page, and other text at the right side of the table is beeing pushed the to bottom of the table.
