Hey all,
I have only recently started working with DataTables Editor and the following question came to my mind:
Is it possible to integrate a QR/EAN code scanner into the DataTables Editor (e.g. by adding more libraries)?
Has anyone already had experience with this?

Yes, absolutely possible through the use of a field type plug-in.
Do you have a specific library in mind that you've used for scanning codes before?

Currently I am considering using the library "instacan" (Link: https://github.com/schmich/instascan).
Is it possible to implement this via the custom field type or would you recommend another library?
Yes, that looks perfectly valid and would be a nice application for a custom field type. Let us know how you get on with it - we can help take a look if needed.
