Hi skymood,

This is something I've been actively looking at how to fix for the next version of TableTools. Could you possible post some example text which is garbled when you export it? I've been using several UTF-8 characters in my testing and haven't actually been able to reproduce the issue myself - so some text which is known to fail would be really useful.

I just replaced the English text in the Example into Chinese

just like this
Rendering engine
????
Platform(s)
Engine version
CSS grade
however, when export to EXCEL garbled like this
Rendering engine
??????
Platform(s)
Engine version
CSS grade

in addition?when this first" " Contains uppercase letters "ID"
The Chinese characters will be displayed Correctly
and When you open a document it will generate an error prompt
”System has been detected, it is the SYLK file? But it can not be loaded? The document or have errors, or is not a SYLK file format?Try to open a file in other formats“

Last?Over the next update?Users can set the output of the EXCEL document styles?

Hi,

It looks like the forum didn't like it either! Could you send it to me direct please: http://datatables.net/contact

Regarding this question "Users can set the output of the EXCEL document styles?" - what should they be able to set? My Excel output is actually a bit of a cheat! It's just a text file with .xls as an extension!

Regards,
Allan
