Checkbox's event's inside fixed column?

I have seen a couple threads on the internet about this and realize its a clone covering the original table. I can capture the click event of the checkboxes parent (td.dt-checkboxes-cell) but for the life of me I cannot capture the event of the checkbox itself; I'm sure its being hijacked via the plugin. Is there any semi-clean way to capture these 'change || click' events inside the fixed columns table copy?
