I have the simplest of examples running, and width is not working at all. I've tried every option that came up on google.
What's the correct way to implement a column width percentage?

Looks like datatables doesn't like column widths when setting some columns visibility to false. That's odd...
Seems to work just fine here: http://live.datatables.net/tunumexa/1/edit .
The browser will collapse the width if there isn't enough space for it and everything else in the table (which can be seen in that example if you make the output frame narrow).
