Issues with 1.12 on an iPad running Safari (iOS 9.3.5)

After updating to 1.12 we had a reported issue with datatables not initializing on an iPad running iOS 9.3.5, even after the 1.12.1 fix it still doesn't work

We've sourced a device running the same operating system and can replicate it but unfortunately have been unable to get it to connect to our in office mac to access the dev tools. I can confirm that the zero config example found at:

https://datatables.net/examples/basic_init/zero_configuration.html

also suffers from the same issue.

    Hi,

Thanks for flagging this up. I've just tried it on iPadOS 12.2 with [Browser stack](//
browserstack.com) and it seems to be working okay:

What locale / language is your iPad set to?

He’s running iPad so 9.3.5 try testing it on the IPad Pro (9.3 listed on the right)

    I don’t have a plan for browserstack so I couldn’t launch it.

Neither do I. I've just applied for their open source plan, hopefully they'll let me do some testing with it :).

Browserstack approved the request :). I have to say, it is an awesome product they have!

The error was that I hadn't updated the datatables.net site to use DataTables 1.12.1. I have now and it should work without issue.

    Regards,
    Allan
