IE8 DataTable unresponsive for 300 rows -- "stop running this script" error

I'm getting "stop running this script" message for about 300 rows for version 1.8 . I'm not using sorting . Although , I'm using fnRender to render a couple of columns . Removing fnRender helps the speed . But I need the fnRender for at least 2 columns .
Please suggest .
