Making rowGroup Datasource not a visable column

Is there a relativly easy way to hide the data source being used for rowGroup, either in css or js so my table looks a lot more compact. but without having to supply my page or js with more data for each row?

Yep, you can use columns.visible to hide the column that's being used for the grouping, something like this example here.
