problem with related tables

good evening everyone, could you please help me understand how to make two datatables work which should contain: the main one the customer data, the second the purchases made, the tables are on Mysql and are related to each other through the customer id PK in the customer table and FK customer id in the purchases table, I managed to populate the main one and it shows all the customers but I cannot populate the second one which should start empty and upon clicking on the customer in the main table it should show me the purchases made for that specific customer, the data json files are valid in the console, it shows me the correct data and doesn't send me any errors, but the purchasing table remains empty and shows the words "No data available in the table", is there anyone who could help me please?
