How does one mark a topic as "Answered"?

The forum software sometimes display "You've asked questions that now have answers. Make sure you accept/reject the answers." in the bottom-left corner, but I cannot see any way to mark a topic of one's creation as such. Is it reserved to the administrators to do this?

You need to have used the "Ask a Question" button, rather than "New Discussion" button to create a new thread to have the option of marking a reply as an answer. Also it is not possible to mark your own reply (or original question) as the answer (I should look at relaxing that constraint I think).
