It's been nine months in the making, along with upgrades for the extensions, plug-ins, and as you will be able see, a revamped web-site - but DataTables 3 is finally now here!
Its a major update with the jQuery dependency now removed (although it will still work with jQuery as it did before), rewritten in Typescript and the core updated.
I've rewritten a blog post detailing DataTables 3 which you can read here along with upgrade notes, new features and the full release notes. Rather than repeating everything that is said there, I'll just keep it simple here - I hope you enjoy the new release!
I'm here if you have any questions! If you happen to find a bug, I'd appreciate you opening a new thread with the details so each issue can be tracked individually.

Amazing work Allan and truly next level to go vanilla js! Not a typescript fan, but understand how it can help. Looking forward to migrating to this version within SaaS offerings and can't say thanks enough for the decade plus of keystrokes you've put into this amazing piece of software! Please take some time to chill after this monumental effort! Great job, as always!
