I have an ie9 test machine and when i visit http://datatables.net/release-datatables/extras/TableTools/swf_path.html and click on csv, excel, pdf the browser thinks for a moment and then comes back with this popup.

Internet Explorer has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop wroking correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is avaiable.

The adobe flash demo sites work in the browser so it's not that. Has anyone else seen this?

It seems to work okay on my IE9 machine. Does the basic configuration one work for you: http://datatables.net/release-datatables/extras/TableTools/ ?

Both examples above cause IE9 to fail in the same way as for the original poster.

    IE9
    Windows 7, 64 Bit

If I use the 64bit IE9, it works and opens a download dialog box, however the 32 bit IE9 (The default browser) fails and crashes

Mine worked fine at home (windows 7 IE9) However at work I am experiencing the same problem (Windows 7 IE8). Could this be due to the amount of data that is being exported?

    Hey,

When i Run Export (PDF,Excel,CSV) feature at http://datatables.net/release-datatables/extras/TableTools/,
    it causes IE9 Crash

But when i run my IE with Run As Administrator option - all works fine

Also when i run my IE normally (without Run As Administrator option) BUT with disabled "Protected Mode" option in Internet Options (check box under Security tab) - works fine too

Even more - when i added site to Trusted sites - works fine

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64, IE9 for these tests

Under 32-bit System looks fine in any way
