Adding records to database?

I was wondering if there is a way/plugin for Datatables through which new records can be added into a database.
I have a table with column filtering and pagination but could I also implement entering new records permanently into the table/database?
My table is databound.

I'm working on a plug-in for DataTables for exactly this kind of thing, right at this moment. Ready for release tomorrow I think, if you can come back then? :-)
