Sorry if this is a basic question, but I'm working on a project and have never used DataTables before. Is there a way to display results based on month and year? I'd like the user to make a selection via a drop down menu and the results would display.

Take a nose at this page, and @daniel_r's comment. It looks like his yadcf plugin will do the trick for you.
