3 months ago I had downloaded DataTables 1.10.19 from the site. I just checked now and was surprised to see that the version available for download now is 1.10.18. What happened?

Ah , it is 1.10.19 (see here) - the index needs updating.

1.10.18 and 1.10.19 are actually identical in software. There was a packaging error for npm with .18 which required the .19 release to fix. Apologies for the confusion.
