TableTools isn't generating files, no apparent reason

I've run Chrome's console to look for any errors or files that failed to load, and then again with Fiddler2. No files have failed to load. The Flash buttons are showing as they should. I clicked on the Excel and PDF buttons, but absolutely nothing happened. Still no errors, no failure to load any resource. Is there some way I can debug these buttons/events? I have no idea why they aren't working, and have exhausted my means to locate the problem.

No idea I'm afraid. We'd need a link to a page showing the problem to be able to offer much help in this case I think.

Oh - One thing - you aren't initialising the table / TabelTools in a hidden element are you? You'd need to call http://datatables.net/extras/tabletools/api#fnResizeButtons

No, that isn't what's happening. And unfortunately I can't post a link to the offending code, because it's an internal application for my work. I worked up an alternate solution until I can figure out why this isn't working for me. It works in the examples I've downloaded, so obviously I've done something wrong.
