Exporting to CSV/Excel small issue

I came across a small issue when exporting to CSV and Excel via Tabletools, some of my cells have html in them which is all stripped out correctly as you would expect. However TableTools seems to have an issue with the   character as it will not be stripped out or replaced with a space instead you get a broken UTF8 character similar to  appearing whenever there is a  

Is it possible to exclude the footer from being including in the export as well?
