Toggle Footer using a Button

I am using my tfoot as a search individual column bar. I want to show and hide this bar and toggle it with a little button preferably somewhere close to the table for example next to the Show [quote]Number[/quote] of records. Is it possible to add a button somewhere?

Sure - just put it in your HTML using regular DOM or jQuery methods and attach an event handler as needed. It isn't a feature of DataTables that, so you'd need to add your own script to do it.
