Export to KML

How about an optional (default is off) button to export to KML?

You'd need to identify which columns are: latitude, longitude, name, and description. The description could be made up of several fields. The kml file could be very simple and use a single style a red marker icon.

I'll probably write my own tool for this - but I wonder if it'd be generally useful to have it built-in?

I'm interested in supporting the Google Maps version of kml - which only includes a subset of the standard and has a limited file size. I think Google Maps and kml are the easiest way of sharing geo-data.

I doubt that it would be used enough to be built into TableTools (indeed, this is the first use of DataTables + KML I've heard of - in fact, an XML export from TableTools at all interestingly enough!). So I'd say that this would be an ideal candidate for a plug-in button. I think all you would need to do is format plain text as XML and use the functions at are already present in TableTools to actually save the file through the Flash button.
