The function fnFilter does not filter any line

Hello folks,

I encoutered an issue using the datatables 1.9.4.
When using the function fnFilter with the arguments "span" (or "spa" or "sp"), then no element is filtered. I guess that this is a side effect of using tags in the table rows.

Does anyone have encoutered the same issue ?

That's an error in 1.9.4 :-(. Its fixed in git and will be released as part of 1.10. This is the change if you want to back port it: https://github.com/DataTables/DataTables/commit/065c2cc
