Unable to get TableTools to work

Hey I'm a total newbie here. I'm having problems getting table tools to work. It works on the Datatables.net website but when I download the project to my computer and try to run... I'm unable to get the Copy, CSV, Excel, buttons to export. For Example if I click on PDF on the datatables.net website I'm able to save the PDF on my desktop. However, if I download the source code to my local computer and clickthe PDF button nothing happens. Is there something else going on in the backend that I'm not seeing?

I figured out... it needs to be on a server not local pc

I had myself that problem. when i tested the downloaded project, it didn't work at all. But when i integrated it with a PHP project it worked well.

So if you install a php server (like xamp or easyphp, you can run the project in local pc.
