Allan, would it be possible for you to acknowledge receipt of wish list items? No "thanks" necessary, but I'd just like to know stuff is getting there.

As in the Amazon wish list? Yes indeed - its actually often very hard to tell who sent an item, as the majority of the time there is no indication of who actually set it! When there is, the name / address, rarely relates to the DataTables user names in the forums. Perhaps I should have a form somewhere that says "I sent this"... I've been planning on sending a thank you post card when there is an address, but never seem to have time to do it (something I'll fix).

On the contrary! I am absolutely bowled over whenever someone is kind enough to send anything at all, and they have my sincerest thanks!

Yes, that's the main problem. Thinking about it, there's actually quite a serious gap in Amazon's services. Recipient can't identify sender, while sender has no idea if recipient has, er, received.

Maybe the occasional post along the lines of "this month I got x, y, and z from my wish list - thanks all"?

That's a good idea - thanks. I'll look at doing that this month :-)
