ColumnFilterWidgets - How to format the placement of filter dropdowns

I am just starting to mess around with ColumnFilterWidgets and I love it, except for one thing.

How can I make the dropdown filters line up with my table columns?

Also how can I make them stay lined up as I filter on various fields?
