dbTable as option?

I was wondering if there is any thought to adding 'dbTable' as an option to Datatable like there is in Editor. I know I can do this with an 'extra HTTP' function, but I think this particular variable could be very useful to create a completely 'generic' and symmetric approach with Editor.

Agreed 120%! I'm aiming to get this into Editor 1.3, basically detaching Editor from DataTables, so it can be used as a general form Editor, but haven't yet scoped it out fully, so its possible it will slip to 1.4, but I think most likely it will be in 1.3... :-)
