Discussions Closed Early?

I am new to dataTables, and as I search for issues I come across I find many of the discussions are closed, even with no solution posted.
I guess I am pretty used to Stack Overflow, where even if you find something 4 years, old, there may be a new way to do it, and perhaps a new answer, solution or work-around can be posted. Sometimes what was not possible then, is now possible due to new browsers etc...
I found two or three things that worked, in cases where I found the same question in the forums, no solution, but the discussion was closed, so I could not provide any feedback for possibly the next generation of dataTable adopters to come through and find.
Could we have a button to re-open a discussion if we have a new answer?

Some discussions don't have an answer because I never managed to create time to read and answer them. Its simply impossible for me to keep up with the 40+ posts on this forum every day, and still develop code to make a living :-).
This is why posting test cases in posts is so important. In fact, I'm utterly sick of writing "please link to a test case"... Also priority support ( http://datatables.net/support ) gives me the ability to prioritise responses and for DataTables to be fully supported.
Long story short, yes its a pain having the old discussions closed, but it was more of a pain having them open... imho of course. I might reconsider this stance :-)
