Reload table through AJAX with params

I have a table and before it some checkboxes in dynatree. Onchange of checkboxes should reload datatable with list of active checkboxes as params should be sent to the server.
HOW?
Very strange documentation, lack of info, lack of examples (why don`t you use full examples with all code?)

Use fnServerParams to send custom parameters to the client.

I am working on improving the documentation - but I am only one person and it takes a lot of time and effort!
