DataTables or another way ? Each cell its own record with search

Hello,

I am working on a project and am already using datatables in the more traditional way. But, I have a section of the site that where I need to have the functionality of basically a grid of table of images and some text(name description etc..) with that in a cell. I also need to have 5 records in each "row".

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way this might work with datatables or another plugin that might work like this.

Reason why I was trying to use datatables is the simple search and pagination ability built in. I won't need any sort capability, but search and pagination(can have 100's of images in one set of data).

Any help / thoughts would be awesome. Can't seem to find anything to fit the bill, and I would much rather not reinvent the wheel if something is out there.

DataTables is a row / column based table solution - not an individual cell solution. It isn't possible to filter out a single cell for example - you would filter out the whole row.

What I feared, guess I will have to try something else, I found one plugin that halfway worked but just isn't clean at all on how its implemented.
