Combine ColVis and Scroller

Can ColVis and Scroller successfully be used together? I am trying to use them in conjunction, but clicking a checkbox in the Show/Hide dropdown causes the page to time out, even when I pull just 50 rows. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
