Multiple criterias in the same column

I couldn't find a way to have different input search different info sharing the same column with other info.
Also, i couldn't find a way to ignore the content of a span, for example.

In the example I created, some names in the fist column are accompanied by a sport name, soccer ou rugby, and there is a hidden span with text that is show with mouse hover.

I want to have one input to search only the sports, and another input to search only the names, while the hidden text must be ignored completely. I looked into column().search() api reference, but can't figure out a way to use it. Any ideas?
