Datatables in Chrome appear with skewed width size

This is a weird issue I face in Chrome and Opera. The first time I load my page with datatables , the table width is compressed.
After I visit any other page and come back to the datatables page, only then the table shows up fine.
What could be the problem here ?
Any suggestions ?
I always clean the cache and then load my browser. Is that something to do with caching ?
