Responsive Extension with custom Row Grouping via drawCallback

I'm currently using the Responsive Extension on a table with several columns. One of the columns is hidden and using the Advance Init option on the page I'm using a custom drawCallback funtion to draw a row group. The problem is when responsive kicks in it draws the expand icon on the row group row and I would like to skip drawing the icon on those rows. Is there an advanced way I can override the Responsive draw method to skip rows that are row grouped?
