TableTools - how to export only rows that appear through search (instead of all)

It would be really useful to set the Copy/CSV/Excel/PDF/Print buttons to only export rows that are displayed, so that if a search is done to narrow down the data then only the results are exported. At the moment, it copies everything regardless of any filters.

I had thought of trying to get the code to select some rows, export selected and then unselect them but I'm sure there is an easier, or already existing, solution...
