I'm using the example from JSP but doesn't work, in the line "engine = request.getParameter("sSearch_0");" i got the message in my log file: "java.lang.NullPointerException".

The reason to use server-side, is because I need to display a very large table, so if I use another way, I got the data, but the browser shows message like "problems with an execution script" and then the flow is very very slow when I try to search, add, update, delete, change page. I programming in java and jsp, so I need a complete example in that lenguage, please, not in php.
