Responsive datatableble with input fields doesn't keep the new update value

I am using the datatable with the responsive extention. My table has multiple input fields in the row. When I put a value into the field and the resize the browser window to hide the column. When I expand the hidden column, the new value is not showing up. But if I resize the window to have all column showing up, the new value is still there. Not sure how the responsive extention is handling the updatable fields.
