How to pass parameters to php + mysql file?

Hi I have two files one named ("practice.html", which contains HTML + Jscript datatables) and the other (practice.php which contains mysql select and echoes json)
The .html file has two input type where on click submit button should tell the .php file that it should retrieve these data based on the input types. After that the present datatable should be refreshed with the new json echoed by the .php file.
