Is there a way where i can make inline editing without using Ajax and Serverscript?

My requirement is really simple.I just need to make inline editing of columns using datatables.I dont want to add Ajax Load/Ajax Data as given in the link-https://editor.datatables.net/examples/inline-editing/simple.html ...what i need is if i click on a table cell it should show inline editing and i am not interested to store the edited values so ajax is not required i guess. Plz help me
