Sorting Columns

I'm new using jquery, so I used a template from this page to create a datatable, with sortable columns that used tiny arrows within every columns, However the first column is sortable Ascending and I would like to change this to ascending. I was looking to the jquery code that comes when I download the template but no idea of where this can be found.
