Can't use language.decimal option with server side processing?

I am running a datatable with server side processing.
Now I add to the "language" section "decimal": "," but it doesn't work.
In the same section is use "url": "//cdn.datatables.net/plug-ins/9dcbecd42ad/i18n/German.json" too, which works like a charm.
Can someone give me a hint?
