Select extension handling dbclick event

I'd like to retain selection when a row is double clicked, but I am not sure how to stop the deselect event from firing.

I've tried creating a delegated dblclick event targeting the same selectors as the extension to stop propagation, but that doesn't work.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
