How do i change the direction of certain column to ltr?

i am developing a datatable with asisan characters.. however i have this certain fields which has alphanumeric characters it comes like HC-A/129/2013 rather than it should come like 2013/HC-A/129...if i can change this field's direction to ltr it would be better..
