Thanks for flagging this up. The configuration used will give an error, but it shouldn't give a forbidden error - I will look into what the cause of that is.
The error that "should" be shown is that the path is too long. This is a known issue with the DataTables downloader and basically it means that you need to select less software to be included in the CDN file, or download it locally (which you can't do on the Generator page but you can from the downloader).
Sorry for this issue - I'm still trying to work out the best way of resolving it!

No problems. I actually resolved the issue doing what you noted in a similar way. I built it up from scratch testing as I went until it worked. I have a working api now with which to learn. A very nice product that I'm including into my concept of operations management for small businesses. Thankyou
