multiple columns per row ?

I am trying to work out how to configure datatables so that I can have multiple columns per row - so I can have the datatable display 5 columns wide per row - for example

row1 col1 col2 col3 col4 col 5
row2 col1 col2 col3 col4 col 5

an example of what I am trying to acheive is at http://akasha.co.nz/productsf.php - I want to replace the table grid in this page with a datatables grid - but not sure how to configure multiple columns per row.
