I need to be able to print row grouping

I use the code at https://datatables.net/examples/advanced_init/row_grouping.html and it works beautifully. When I add a print button, the grouping is not shown in the print view.
I found an example entitled "Customisation of the print view window" at https://datatables.net/extensions/buttons/examples/print/customisation.html This code works.

How do I incorporate the row grouping code into the customization of the print window? Please could you help if you have done this before? Thank you. Jan.
