How can I make FixedHeader work within a jQuery UI Dialog (or any scrollable div)?

I use the latest version of Datatables and the FixedHeader extension (dt-1.10.11,fh-3.1.1).
My table is inside a jQuery UI Dialog which is essentially a div with its own scroll bar. My goal is to have the header be fixed at the top of that div when I scroll within the div.
As of now, the header only remains fixed if I scroll within the window as a whole.
Any advice on how to make it fixed only with respect to the div is much appreciated. Thanks!
