Responsive DataTables show full Footer like rows (w/ Bootstrap)

When my table collapse down with the + symbol for responsive mode the totals columns I am using in the footer are hidden and there is no way to get them to show.
Is there a way to have the footer row at the bottom auto expand with the column headings similar to how the expanded table body rows do?
