Progress indicator for server-side processing not working

Hi I was using language : { sLoadingRecords : '<span style="width:100%;"><img src="../img/indicator.gif"></span>' }, for client side processing, but then i change to server- server processing but then it stop working. I'm thinking is there a different attribute i need to set for server-side processing in order to get my progress indicator working again.
