Improvement to the columnDef render callback

It would be beneficial to allow the columnDefs.render callback to return an HTML node in addition to a string. Is this something that would be possible? jQuery would be able to handle it just fine using $(node) which I assume is how the nodes are created once returned from columnDefs.render.
