Modified Date sorting as string

Datatable gods,

I am pulling table information from a SP 2010 document library. All the columns are pulling, but the date columns are rendering as if they were strings not dates. I want to be able to sort Jan, Feb, etc..... not Jan, Oct, etc..... 1, 2 not 1,10 and so on.

I am very noob, I apologize in advance for all the questions I may have.

For Date strings that are not in the ISO 8601 format you can use the Ultimate Datetime Plugin.
This will allow you to sort date and time data in any format that you provide.
