Internationalization does not work

I add the lines

    select: {
        rows: {
            _: "%d записей выбрано",
            1: "1 запись выбрана"
        }
    }

to my locale json file for russian trunslation as it written in documentation but it had no effect.
When I am selecting the row, the message "1 row selected" remains in english.
All other messages are being translated into russian.
